Rippler has a strange origin story for a commercial synth. It started as a free physical modeling synth on GitHub, built by a developer going by Tilr. It adds a Clear History option to the browser’s History folder context menu, stops preset scanning from running during host plugin validation (which was causing slowdowns for some users), and fixes several crashes: one when a host resets the plugin mid-preset-load, one on plugin close while a preset scan is still running, and one triggered by screen readers clearing the preset list selection. Mallet sample menu clipping and slider label scaling got fixed too. It’s not compatible with Pro Tools 12.5, so anyone still on that version will want to hold off.
